Shakespeare on YouTube

“Broadcast Your Bard”

– Stephen O’Neill, Lecturer from the National University of Ireland Maynooth

As the modern world delves more into cyber technology, the tradition and value of historical works shouldn’t be too far behind. Shakespeare, in different forms and media, goes online, making people from all over the world have access to information about the famous playwright. In the internet, YouTube.com is one of the most effective portals for communication. Put these two together, add a bit of easier accessibility, and we have Shakespeare on Youtube.

Formed just recently, Shakespeare on Youtube is a site that collates videos made by anyone in the world that has something to say about Shakespeare – responses, or showing Shakespeare in different media and interpretations.
